Vanessa Carlisle, MFA, PhD

Vanessa earned her PhD in Creative Writing and Gender Studies from the University of Southern California. She teaches classes in gender & queer studies, writing, and literature, and leads workshops in various sex/gender & social justice topics. Vanessa has worked in the sex industries for twenty years and fought for sex workers' rights, decriminalization, and the end of sex work stigma for a decade. Danny Cruz

Before becoming a sex worker, Danny learned good bedside manner as a licensed practical nurse in the US Army. The convergence of these two careers led to activism that focuses not only on improving occupational health for sex workers but also a promoting healthy sex and consent practices for his partners and others. As a member of the Sex Workers Outreach Project, Danny was part of a coalition that drafted 2017 legislation modernizing HIV transmission laws in California. Lauren Kiley

Lauren Kiley earned her Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities from the University of Chicago. She's been organizing for sex workers rights through Sex Workers Outreach Project, serving as the director of the Los Angeles chapter (SWOP-LA) from 2010-2013, and other community organizations for eight years and working in the sex industries for twelve years.
